Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in ColdFusion v8.0.1 and earlier versions, and JRun 4.0. Adobe has now patched them with a Security Update released on August 17, 2009. Adobe Moves One Step Closer To AIR 1.0

"AIR Beta 3 is an exciting release that takes us one step closer to AIR 1.0," writes Platform Evangelist Kevin Hoyt in a recent commentary on eight changes from AIR Beta 2. Macromedia has released an updater for ColdFusion MX 6.1.
